While most other polymer based non-skid additives are based on relatively soft polyethylene waxes, ours was selected from a thermoset polymer family that is known for its hardness and toughness. It is an excellent alternative to traditional sand as it does not contain free crystalline silica. It also weighs less than sand so it doesn't settle as quickly when pre-mixed with paints. Our clear polymeric granules are ground using a proprietary method that creates its unique, angular, particle shape. It is packaged in a convenient dispensing tube with a sifter top that is ideal for sprinkling the product onto wet paint for maximum particle coverage,and can be used with any color paint. Our clear polymeric non-skid is easily applied into varnishes and clear paints as it will not effect the clarity of the product.
