This respirator provides protection from mists and welding fumes. Applications include welding and brazing operations where fumes are created that could be hazardous to the worker’s health. The respirator is lightweight and features an exhalation valve for additional comfort, especially in hot areas. The outer shell and straps are flame resistant. This respirator is NIOSH/MSHA approved where the permissible exposure level is not less than .05 mg/m3 of air. It is not designed for use in spray paint operations or where dust, fume, or mist concentrations are greater than 10 x P.E.L.
